Bradley Stoke Town Council is seeking a Part Time (22.5 hours per week) Maintenance Technician

Bradley Stoke Town Council is seeking a practical and reliable Maintenance Technician to join its Sites team.
Working across the Council’s buildings, activity centres, parks, play areas and open spaces, the role will include planned and reactive maintenance, minor repairs, basic carpentry, painting and decorating, fixture and fitting repairs, routine inspections, external maintenance and assisting contractors where required.
The successful applicant must be confident working independently, using common hand and power tools safely and identifying when specialist assistance is required. An important part of the role is providing cover for the Council’s Mobile Cleaning Operative on Mondays and Thursdays when they are absent from work, including annual leave and sickness. When providing cover, duties will include litter picking, bin emptying, sweeping, cleaning bus shelters and street furniture and other associated outdoor cleansing duties.
Salary Range £16,073.08 - £16,589.30 per annum
NJC Scale 5 – 7
Starting salary dependent upon experience & qualification
Hours: 22.5 per week working Mondays & Thursdays and 1 other day
Applicants should have practical maintenance or facilities experience, be reliable, able to work on their own initiative and be comfortable working outdoors throughout the year.
A full UK driving licence is essential.
