Youth Work in Bradley Stoke

Covid-19 and local Youth Work sessions (19th July 2021 update)

Our local youth work delivery is based on youth sector specific advice & guidance developed by the National Youth Agency (NYA), Public Health England & the Health & Safety Executive. Youth work activities permissible, include:

Online & digital youth services...Detached/outdoor local youth services (consistent with social distancing)...1-2-1 indoor sessions with young people... Group sessions delivered indoors (consistent with social distancing guidelines)...camping & residentials...

We are currently delivering or planning to deliver the following youth work sessions:

  • Girls & Young Women’s Project: Tuesday 7pm to 9pm @ Jubilee Centre.
  • Skatepark session: Thursday 4pm to 6:30 + additional ad hoc sessions.
  • Jubilee Hardcourts informal sports session: Thursday 6:30pm to 9pm.
  • Summer Arts workshop and ‘big paint’ sessions (see separate flier).
  • Skatepark comps & events (date/s to be confirmed).
  • Additional Detached/ outreach and skatepark sessions when p/t youth work vacancies filled.
  • One to one & small group work support, various project work, etc

Youth Projects

  • Girls & Young Women's Project: weekly girls only sessions + trips & residentials
  • Skatepark sessions; regular & ad hoc sessions; we now also have a sizable building on site
  • Jubilee Centre: detached sessions focused around informal sporting activity.
  • Detached & Street Work sessions
  • Project work: e.g. Street Art project/s
  • Events & competitions: e.g. two full days of activities at our annual Festival
  • Offsite trips: e.g. MoJo Active; Winter Wonderland (Ice Skating); Laser Quest; Air Hop, etc
  • Residentials: e.g. Multi activity weekends
  • One to one and small group work and support.
