Bradley Stoke Town Council is looking for an organised, proactive and practical individual to join our friendly team. This role is 22.5 hours per week.

This is a varied role combining health and safety, administration, facilities and community events. You will help ensure the Council's facilities, play areas, services and events are safe, well managed and compliant.

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting the Town Clerk with the Council's Health & Safety arrangements and policies.
  • Carrying out regular play area inspections and coordinating annual professional inspections.
  • Maintaining risk assessments, safety records and fire safety arrangements.
  • Providing Health & Safety support for Council services and community events, including the Community Festival and Fireworks Display.
  • Preparing regular Health & Safety reports.
  • Providing reception and general administrative support.
  • Assisting with research, quotations and Council reports.
  • Supporting the Facilities & Operations Manager and Events Team.

About you

You will be well organised, reliable and confident, with good communication and IT skills and the ability to manage a varied workload.

Experience of Health & Safety and risk assessments is essential.

Salary Range: £16,847.40 – £17,961.96 per annum
NJC Scale 8 – 12

Starting salary dependent upon experience & qualification
Hours: 22.5 per week (Monday - Wednesday)
