Firework Display 2022

Photo of Firework Display in Bradley Spoke

This year's Firework Display was, once again, another successful event and luckily the weather held, the strong winds which had been forecast earlier in the day did not materialise.

The numbers of people attending the event have not yet returned to the pre-COVID pandemic levels, but lots of positive feedback was received from those attending, especially regarding the return, this year, to the traditional type of fireworks, following last year's low-noise event. It was lovely to see so many residents of the town gathering to enjoy the free event.

The event could not run without the outstanding support from the volunteer marshal and bucket collectors from a range of local groups including Little Stoke Social Club, volunteers from the two Mayor's Charity groups (Great Western Air Ambulance Charity and St Peter's Hospice), Bradley Stoke in Bloom, Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group, the young people of Bradley Stoke, and BSTC councillors and staff. Once again, Bradley Stoke Radio supported the event keeping the crowds on the Jubilee Green entertained. The Town Council would like to thank all those who assisted at this year's event.

The bucket collection on the night has now been counted and the final bucket collection total was £2,324.64

This year we were asked, by a number of people attending the display, about online donations to the Mayor's Charity. We will be looking into this streamlining this going forward for future events.

If you would like to make an online donation for this year's Fireworks event, our bank details are:

Account Name: Bradley Stoke Town Council Current A/C

Account No: 30363049

Sort Code: 20-13-67

Reference: Please specify Name - Fireworks

We have so far received £30.00 in online donations.

Bradley Stoke Rotary Club ran the BBQ (which is one of their major fundraisers for their Charity each year).

This amount does not include donations from the commercial food vans which are as follows:

  • Doughnut and coffee van donation = £140.00
  • Catering vehicles donation = £340.00

Adding this to the bucket collection total and online donations, it makes a grand total of £2,834.64 to be added to the Mayor's Charity.
