For over a century, the historic former Filton Airfield has been Bristol's home for innovation and invention. As the birthplace of supersonic travel, its local community changed the world. YTL Developments is now transforming this historic local landmark into Brabazon - a new urban community that is designed to be different.

YTL Bristol Arena Parking & Travel Survey

The new YTL Arena Bristol and the re-development of the former Filton airfield, will create a new entertainment venue, new jobs and new homes for the region.
This is an exciting development for the area, but to help us prepare for it and the arena opening, we need to understand when you currently travel in the area and what parking requirements you have.
Arena goers will be able to get to and from the venue by train, public bus, shuttle bus, walking and cycling, and will be able to park in the arena’s car park. However, some people may also choose to drive and park on nearby streets, so this is something we need to plan for.
In partnership with Bristol City Council, we have launched a joint survey to learn more about people’s travel habits and parking needs in the area around the arena. The information collected will help us investigate what kind of measures might be needed to help mitigate the impacts of the development.
If you live or work in the area surrounding the new arena site, next to the former Filton airfield, please take part in our travel and parking survey. The survey is open until Monday 6 March and is available online, together with further information about the arena, at www.southglos.gov.uk/arenaparking.
If parking measures are needed, we will carry out further consultation.
