Firework Display 2018

This year's Firework Display was a great success, the weather remained Firework friendly once again. The numbers attending appeared less than last year, possibly due to the adverse weather conditions predicted and this was reflected in the charity bucket collection total as detailed below. Feedback from those members of the public attending the event was very positive.

Of course, the event could not run without the outstanding support from the volunteer marshal and bucket collectors from a range of local groups including Little Stoke Social Club, Bradley Stoke in Bloom/Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group, Frampton Cotterell Air Cadets, Bradley Stoke Radio, the young people of Bradley Stoke and the two Mayor's Charity groups (West of England MS Therapy Centre and the Stroke Association) as well as BSTC councillors and staff and for these groups ongoing support, a massive thank you.

The bucket collection has now been counted and the final total was £2,420.19 This amount does not include donations from the food vans which are as follows:

  • Donut van donation = £130.00
  • Burger van donation = £260.00

GRAND TOTAL TO MAYOR'S CHARITY = £2,810.19

Bradley Stoke Rotary Club ran the BBQ (which is a major fundraiser for their Charity each year) and although we don't have a figure for this year as yet, it is hoped they raised a significant sum again.
