Firework Display 2019

This year's Firework Display was, once again, a great success, with ideal weather conditions – luckily it did not rain until after the last firework had been fired. The numbers of people attending the event was noticeably higher than last year and this was reflected in the charity bucket collection total as detailed below.

The event could not run without the outstanding support from the volunteer marshal and bucket collectors from a range of local groups including Little Stoke Social Club, the three Mayor's Charity groups (Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, National Autistic Society – South Gloucestershire branch and the NHS Blood and Organ Donation campaign – under the auspices of Bristol Multi-Faith Forum), Bradley Stoke in Bloom/Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group, the young people of Bradley Stoke and BSTC councillors and staff. The Town Council would like to thank all those who volunteered to assist at this year's event.

Once again, Bradley Stoke Radio provided a welcome musical element for the Jubilee Green side of the event.

Bradley Stoke Rotary Club ran the BBQ (which is one of their major fundraisers for their Charity each year). This year, they have indicated that they raised in the region of £980 for their charity.

The bucket collection has now been counted and the final total was £3,499.55

This amount does not include donations from the commercial food vans which are as follows:

  • Doughnut and coffee van donation = £120.00
  • Catering vehicles donation = £340.00

Adding this to the bucket collection total, it makes a grand total of £3,959.55 to be added to this year's Mayor's Charity.
