The Planning and Environment Committee makes recommendations on all planning applications within Bradley Stoke to the Planning Authority (South Gloucestershire Council) and considers all associated planning, footpath and licensing issues.

On Saturday 27th March 2010 there will be a collection for the Mayor's charity at the Willow Brook Centre. The proceeds of this collection will benefit BLESMA (British Limbless Ex-Service Men's Association).

South Gloucestershire Council, Age Concern, the Senior Citizens Forum and Southern Brooks Community Partnership are staging the first South Gloucestershire Spring Into Life Festival – A Celebration of Age. This festival will open on Saturday 10th April with an event at Patchway Community Centre, and closes on 23rd April with an event at Cadbury Heath Community Centre.

The Finance and Leisure Committee meets approx. 6 times a year and makes decisions and recommendations to Council on all financial and policy matters under the discretion of the Town Council and all public halls, sports and pavilion facilities, children's play areas, youth facilities in the Town. This committee also is responsible for Personnel matters and will be responsible for Best Value.

The date of this year's (fifth) Granny Trek for Children's Hospice South West is Sunday, 25th April 2010. This popular event held at Charlton Farm, Wraxall (the second children's hospice for the south west region) is regularly attended by hundreds of people. Entire families join in, including the dog! and they walk with Granny, for Granny or in memory of Granny. It's a celebration of family life and raises many thousands of pounds each year to help ease the difficult journey travelled by those who will lose a beloved child before adulthood.
