BSTC - 20th May 2026
At Bradley Stoke Town Council’s Annual Town Council Meeting held on Wednesday 13th May 2026, Councillor Jenny James was elected by the Council to the position of Mayor of Bradley Stoke/Chair of the Town Council for 2026/27. Councillor Jon Williams was elected as Deputy Mayor/Vice-chair of the Town Council.
Councillor Jenny James said “It is an absolute honour and privilege to be elected as Mayor/Chair of Bradley Stoke Town Council, and to serve the residents of Bradley Stoke. Bradley Stoke has been my home since 2001, when I married my husband, Nigel. Since moving here from London, I was keen to be involved in the community through conservation and environmental activities, fundraising, and volunteering for charities.
Bradley Stoke is well and truly my home and excited to continuing serving residents, community and visiting clubs, schools, businesses and community activities.
I am looking forward to working with Cllr Jon Williams and drawing on his previous experience of the role of Mayor and thank-you to Cllr Natalie Field for all her hard work for the community of Bradley Stoke."
Councillor Jon Williams said “I was very pleased to have been elected to be Deputy Mayor at the Annual Town Council meeting of Bradley Stoke Town Council on Wednesday 13th May 2026.
I have been a Bradley Stoke Town councillor for 21 years and have held the position of Mayor on 3 occasions. However, as the only Liberal Democrat councillor on the council this time I felt very honoured to have been put forward for the role of Deputy Mayor.
I am excited to be working with Cllr Jenny James who, as Mayor will lead the council and act as the focal point for the community.”
