Bradley Stoke Town Council are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated and imaginative individual to lead our small youth work team delivering youth work across Bradley Stoke.

Permanent Full-time (37 hours per week), Senior Youth Worker (Team Leader)

Salary Range - £39,997 - £43,091 per annum (JNC 22-25)
Starting salary is subject to qualifications and experience.

Role Summary

You will lead, coordinate and develop a team of youth workers to deliver a high-quality youth service across centre-based, detached, outreach and project settings. The role combines frontline youth work with team leadership, safeguarding responsibility and partnership working, supporting young people aged 11–18 (and up to 25 with SEND).

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision and support to youth work staff and volunteers
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver engaging universal and targeted youth work programmes
  • Ensure robust safeguarding, risk management and compliance with all relevant policies
  • Lead staff induction, training, appraisal and reflective practice
  • Develop innovative projects responding to young people’s needs and local priorities
  • Enhance existing and build new partnerships with unitary authority, schools, police, health, early help and voluntary agencies
  • Monitor performance, attendance and outcomes; contribute to service development and lead on external funding bids
  • Promote youth voice, participation and positive community engagement

Additional Information

The role involves evening, weekend and school holiday working. Ongoing training and professional development are essential.
