Bat Walk
When: Wednesday 25th June 2025 - 9.00pm – 10.30pm
Where: Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve, Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, Fiddlers Wood Lane, Bradley Stoke, BS32 9BS
A nocturnal reserve ramble with a bat detector, we have already identified 6 species, will you be the one that finds a 7th?
Tickets are limited & booking is required through Eventbrite.
You will be provided with a “bat detector” and shown how to identify the various species of bat which live on our reserve, we have found 6 already will you be the one that finds a 7th? We will be going over uneven ground in the reserve so please wear stout boots, warm clothes and bring a torch. If you have your own bat detector please feel free to bring it with you.
Please note that while these walks are free, numbers are limited for safety reasons. Booking is essential and you will need to bring your printed ticket. The walk is not suitable for very young children as the group may walk quite fast between sites. No dogs please.
If you decide that you are not going to attend having booked tickets, please could you cancel your booking through Eventbrite or email us at events@three-brooks.info so that your booking can be made available to others who may have missed out.
Meeting point is outside the main entrance of the Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre. The leisure centre car park is shut and locked after 10pm but we hope to arrange an extension.

If you can’t wait for our walks, bat detectors, guides & maps are available on free loan from Bradley Stoke Library all year round. We also have wildlife cameras you can borrow.
