Come and enjoy a taste of Medieval life with the Company of Chivalry.
Vivid displays of daily life in a 14th century encampment from living history group The Company of Chivalry. Find out how people lived, worked and fought whilst on campaign during the 100 years’ War. There will be a full programme of activities throughout the day, including re-enactments of military combat, demonstrations and talks about different aspects of medieval life (eg. food, clothing, cosmetics, weaving, spinning, coin-making), live medieval music, a re-enactment of a medieval court, and falconry. Special activities for children include a treasure hunt, training with medieval soldiers, face-painting, and launching a projectile from the trebuchet. Locally-sourced hot and cold food and drink is available all day.
Entry is just £4 for adults (children under 16 free).
A fantastic day out for all ages at this unique heritage site dating from 1342.
Parking in the neighbouring field for £2 per car (in aid of Alzheimers Society).
