Charity Bug Trail 2025
Bradley Stoke Town Council once again organised its annual Trail to raise money for the Mayor's Charities. This year's theme was 'Bugs in their Habitats' to fit in with our Local Climate and Nature Action Plan.
As well as the main map trail, this year also included two bug making workshops prior to the trail commencing to enable the local community to make bugs to form a part of the trail plus a wildlife weekend of events in the middle of the trail.
Bug Making Workshops
Two bug making workshops took place on Saturday 26th and Tuesday 29th July where participants crafted large, decorative bugs to create the 2025 Bug Trail. For those attendees needing guidance and inspiration we designed an activity pack (PDF) with examples of native bugs, what materials to use and ideas of bugs which could be made at home.

Wildlife Weekend
Our Wildlife Weekend took place at Brook Way Activity Centre on 16th and 17th August 2025 with activities focusing on bug habitats, wildlife gardening, and why insects matter so much to our ecosystem.

Bug Trail
The main trail ran from Friday 8th August to Tuesday 26th August 2025 across the north of Bradley Stoke and gave families, friends, and nature enthusiasts the opportunity to enjoy a creative, wildlife-themed walk through the community, all whilst raising money for brilliant causes (the Brightwell Centre, Diabetes UK, and Mamas Bristol). It was a perfect way to explore the outdoors, learn about nature, and support local organisations doing vital work.
