The events began on Friday with a Pre-School Picnic on the Jubilee Green arranged by South Glos Council’s Children & Young People’s Information Service and BSTC.  Several hundred children and their parents enjoyed brilliant sunshine and soaring temperatures together with a chance to practice circus skills courtesy of Professor Panic and his travelling circus and have their faces painted by Louisa.  A coffee morning and flower arranging competition took place at Brook Way.

On Saturday many local groups had stalls to raise funds for their own particular causes and wee supported by local businesses and information stands...  The newly elected Mayor of Bradley Stoke, Robert Jones toured all the events on offer, having his photograph taken with his local charity group and in the stocks organized by the Bradley Stoke Scouts.

As well as the stalls there was a varied programme of stage and arena events, including; the Company of Horsemen, Game goers with their dogs, falcons and ferrets, James Dylan’s Stuntworld amazing motorcycle tricks and Monarchy, a Queen Tribute band.  Quad bikes, bouncy castles, the Smiley Train, Egyptian dancing, Tai Kwan Do and the Bradley Stoke Judo Club provided extra fun.

The combined churches of the town and neighbouring areas celebrated morning service on Sunday, followed by a family picnic accompanied by the Bristol East Brass Band.  The friendly cricket match between the Bradley Stoke Cricket Club and Bradley Stoke All Stars - a scratch team culled from all walks of life within the town was won by the Cricket Club and much fun was had by all.
