Workday: Balsam Bashing
When: Saturday 2nd June 2012 - 10am till 1pm
Where: Meet outside Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre
Himalayan Balsam is a pretty but very invasive plant that the conservation group is trying to remove from the reserve by pulling it up, so that our native plants can recolonize. Come and help us in our efforts. Balsam is very easy to pull and it’s a very satisfying task that’s suitable for all the family!
Make sure you wear stout footwear suitable for walking outdoors over uneven surfaces. It’s also advisable to wear long sleeves and gardening gloves if you have them. If the weather is hot then do wear a sunhat and suncream and bring a bottle of water.
