South Gloucestershire Council - 22nd January 2010
All refuse and recycling collections will return to their normal collection dates from Monday 25 January. SITA's collection crews are continuing to work hard to clear the backlog caused by the bad weather and the Christmas and New Year holidays, focusing its resources on emptying black bins and green boxes.
From Monday 25 January all collections, including green bins, will revert to the normal collection days in order to give residents a clear guide on when to put their bins out and to help minimise any further disruption.
Bins and boxes which have not been emptied will be collected on the next scheduled collection day. Crews will collect additional black bag waste and recyclables on the next cycle to clear any missed collections.
In the week commencing Jan 25, please put your containers out by 7am on your regular collection days.
For up to date information on waste collections please visit South Gloucestershire Council's website at www.southglos.gov.uk/recycling alternatively residents can contact the Streetcare Helpdesk on 01454 868000.
All SORT IT! Centres across the district remain open.
