Truespeed Ultrafast Broadband Works
Truespeed is a community-focused full-fibre broadband provider based in Bath and is currently expanding its network into Bradley Stoke.
They are building a brand new broadband network and provide a fibre line directly into the house which gives greater stability and guaranteed speeds. The Bradley Stoke build is part of a £14m investment in South Gloucestershire including Thornbury, Almondsbury, Patchway, Stoke Gifford and Chipping Sodbury. Over 20,000 homes in Bradley Stoke, Great Stoke, Little Stoke and Stoke Gifford are due to be passed by the build.
Where possible, Truespeed use the existing infrastructure to lay their fibre lines in the ground or overhead cables to minimise disruption. However, there might be some instances where this is not possible and roadworks will be required. Residents will be given advanced warning of roadworks either by signage or a leaflet through the door. If a contractor is blocking your driveway, please speak to them directly and they will either move or put ramps in if required. To get the latest information about any roadworks taking place in your area, you can also visit one.network.
The build has already started with some properties ready for installation and it will continue until the summer. The map below shows all of the areas that they are covering in blue and orange, the build is divided into different sections.
