Service disruption due to strike action

South Gloucestershire Council waste contractor Suez has informed us that many of its employees are intending to continue with their current strike action until 3 September – due to their ongoing pay dispute with their employer.
We understand this is concerning news for residents and apologise for the inconvenience it may cause.
We are doing all we can to minimise the impact by working with the staff Suez has available, to provide the best level of service possible under the circumstances.

All deposit locations have been confirmed and are operational, please find attached a poster (PDF) to share as widely as possible. This information has also been shared on social media this morning and will be included in our weekly residents’ enewsletter that will go out by email later today. The website is fully updated.
