Free Course: Choices – Achieving your Best Life
SG Community Learning and Skills Service - 21st May 2021
Are you aged 19+ and struggling to find work? We are running a 2 week course in June, for unemployed South Gloucestershire residents, to support you with your search for work.
Choices – Achieving your Best Life: Support for young people and those in long term unemployment
Coming to Patchway Community Centre 7th – 18th June 2021
The course will take place 10.30am – 2.30pm, Mon – Fri, and we will provide you with a mentor to help you explore your personal ambitions, gain confidence and introduce you to work opportunities. We will also allow you some social and networking time as a group.
Over the 2 weeks, you will learn some core skills, delivered as modules by different tutors in maths, IT, English, careers, financial literacy, plus soft skills eg resilience, confidence, communication, healthy eating for wellbeing, etc.
Alongside this, you will focus on building up a portfolio of pathways into the careers you are interested in, to help you make an informed choice. You will be given access to career coaches and other services and you will receive certification at the end of the course to evidence your achievements, which you can show to prospective employers.
