Covid-19 update for South Gloucestershire businesses
South Gloucestershire Council - 23rd November 2020
We are more than half-way through the national restrictions. We understand that this is an incredibly difficult time for businesses and wanted to reassure and remind you that the council is here to help and support business owners through this second lockdown.
Separately to the Local Restrictions Grant, we have launched an Additional Restrictions Grant to help support small businesses which have been severely impacted by the new restrictions. This is a local authority run scheme to support businesses with fewer than 49 employees more broadly. Further information is below.
The number of cases in South Gloucestershire is still higher than the all England rate and the second highest in the South West. Given the worrying figures, enforcement of the restrictions is being stepped up, including notices being served on businesses which have not complied. The council is doing everything possible to support the local economy but action will be taken against those that break the rules.
We would like to thank you again for everything you have done to help stop the spread of Covid-19 and keep South Gloucestershire safe.
