BSTC - 18th May 2009

Work is to start this week on the Jubilee Green, Bradley Stoke to build a new £150,000 flagship play scheme funded in partnership by the National Lottery, Bradley Stoke Town Council and South Gloucestershire Council.

The project which aims to provide a modern play facility, which can be enjoyed by young and old alike, has been over twelve months in the planning and consultation stages. Contractors will finally start on site on Tuesday 19 May with construction expected to last around 5-6 weeks.

The Play Scheme will then open on Friday 24th July once turf on site has had a chance to establish.

A spokesperson for Bradley Stoke Town council said: “We are delighted the hard work of both councils and their partners are now coming to fruition” adding “We will be announcing plans for events to coincide with the park’s opening in due course.”
