The annual community festival takes place during early June. The Bradley Stoke Community Festival 2009 has something for everyone and promotes local talents, clubs, bands and dance groups at the three main activity centres.

On Saturday 13th June the seventh Community Festival will be in full Swing at the Jubilee Centre from 12.30hrs with an emphasis on music and dance featuring local bands. Nature Walk - Three Brooks
Local Nature Reserve
Have you ever wondered what that pretty
pink flower is, or which bird is singing from the
depths of a bramble bush? Did you even know that we
have a wildlife refuge right in the middle of Bradley
Stoke? The Three Brooks Nature Conservation Group
invites local residents to join them on a walk round the
Three Brooks Local Nature Reserve on Saturday 13
June, as part of the Bradley Stoke Community Festival
celebrations. The walk will be led by a professional
ecologist who will explain the different habitats on the
reserve and introduce you to the wildlife that depends on
them. The walk will commence from outside the Leisure
Centre at 1000hrs and finish at the Festival at the Jubilee
Centre at 1300hrs, in plenty of time for you to join in the
Festival fun! This FREE walk is open to all the
community and will mainly take place on surfaced paths
but please be aware that it will also take in the reserve's
woodlands and grasslands so terrain will be uneven and
suitable footwear should be worn. This community walk
is made possible by our Service Level Agreement with
Bradley Stoke Town Council and the conservation group
gratefully acknowledges their support.
Children's Zone
A special
children's zone
will be created on the
Jubilee Green, with
Professor Panic's Big
Top providing the centre
piece along with fairground
rides, inflatables, mountain
climbing wall, face painting, oversized games
such as Jenga and Lennie the Land Train to take
everyone around the Festival site.
Local arts and crafts together with some 60 Community,
Information and local Business stalls will complete the
entertainment. The famous Bristol Aztec Rotary Beer
Tent - supported by the BS Cricket Club, will be
adjacent to the stage. There will be food and ice
cream vans present all day and Stokes Women's
Group will be providing tea/coffee, cakes and snacks
inside the Jubilee Centre.
Local Bands Tundra, Uncle Buck and The Echoes will provide a range of music covering the decades from the 60s to the present day with young bands Area 51 and SOX providing modern rock and Indie music. A special performance by Brazilian Samba Band will provide an international flavour along with their Capoeira dancers.
Peter Leadbeater the chainsaw carver, will create a special item from a large section of tree trunk, which will add the finishing touch to the new Beacon Play Area for both children and adults to enjoy!
