The result of the by-election on Meadowbank Ward on 26 November 2009 was as follows:
BSTC - 26th November 2009
Local Councillors Ronnie Conway-Haskins, Ben Walker and Town Clerk David Chandler helped Kumon and Willow Brook Staff load some of the locally collected Christmas shoe boxes into the van which will take them on their journey to Romania to brighten up the lives of under priviledged children at Christmas.

The Volunteer Centre aims to help local people from all walks of life find volunteering positions. We're seeking volunteers to work locally in supporting and enabling the Centre's work in a variety of roles. You'll need good customer service skills and administration skills and we’ll provide full training (starting January 2010)

Please can you consider giving a pint to help the NHS Blood Doning Service. For many years donor sessions have been held in Bradley Stoke. On Friday 4th December they will be at the Bradley Stoke Jubilee Centre.

Southern Brooks Community Partnership is pleased to announce that we have secured £20,000 from the Office for Criminal Justice Reform through the Community Cashback Scheme. This funding will be used to set up Dreamschemes in Filton, Patchway and Bradley Stoke.

Shopmobility is pleased to announce that it has launched its service of powered electric scooters or manual wheelchairs in Bradley Stoke to anyone with limited mobility. People may hire these scooters for free if they have a South Gloucestershire Bus Pass . For those without a pass the charge is only £3.

NHS Blood Doning Service - 22nd October 2009
The 'Big Clean Up' on Saturday 10th October went well with 15 happy litter pickers in total turning out, including the Mayor and the Town Clerk. The weather was great with blue sky and sun all day! We managed to collect 22 bags of litter/rubbish from walkways between roads and the Three Brooks Conservation Area.
